2,500 pantries and 3,000 shelters will support families affected by the overflow of Arroyo Seco.
Additionally 2,000 pieces of rehydrating serum will also be destined for the victims.
The PiSA Pharmaceutical Foundation, Stella Vega, A.C., with the support of the Volunteer Group PiSA, 100% Mexican company, hand in hand with the Municipal System DIF Zapopan, They joined efforts to support around 700 families and at least 275 homes that were affected by the overflow of the Arroyo Seco in the Arenales Tapatíos colony.
The team of the PiSA Pharmaceutical Foundation, Stella Vega, A.C., gave a first donation of a total of 2,500 pantries, 3,000 blankets and 2,000 pieces of rehydrating serum at DIF Community Development Center number 20. A second delivery will be made in the coming days to strengthen and expand aid in the affected area.
The donated inputs will serve to support the people affected by the rains of last Saturday, July 24, which impacted in the southern area of the municipality of Zapopan, Jalisco, mainly the Arenales Tapatíos, Lomas de la Primavera and Miramar colonies.
During the donation, the Deputy Director of the PiSA Pharmaceutical Foundation, Stella Vega, A.C., Ms. Karla Álvarez Vega, commented that they always collaborate not only with their programs and initiatives focused on issues of integral health and social welfare, but also react in adverse situations generated by natural disasters.
“At the Foundation we have a social commitment with a humanist vision that we have managed to combine and promote alongside the PiSA Pharmaceutical Social Responsibility Program. In circumstances such as those experienced by Jalisco due to the heavy rains, we have to show solidarity with the families, we decided to join and support the DIF System by handing out pantries, blankets and rehydrating serums, “Álvarez Vega explained.
For her part, the Operations Manager of the PiSA Pharmaceutical Foundation, Stella Vega, A.C, Nancy Jennifer Meza Bastida, explained they have a social purpose and five specific programs, managing to collaborate with more than 300 Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), Associations and Foundations, which have been added, with the aim of supporting different social projects.
From a very early hour the Foundation team, as well as the Volunteers and collaborators of the logistics area of PiSA Group, met to load four units: a trailer and three trotting vehicles who transported more than 30 tons of support: 2,500 pantries, 3,000 blankets and 2,000 pieces of rehydrating serum to the facilities of the Zapopan Municipal DIF System in the Community Development Center number 20.
The PiSA Pharmaceutical Foundation, Stella Vega, A.C., with the support of the PiSA Volunteer Group, has collaborated with the DIF Systems of different states of the Mexican Republic, as well as with the delegations of the Mexican Red Cross (CRM) to support with donations during the earthquake that occurred in 2017, as well as the floods in the State of Mexico, Tabasco, Veracruz and Quintana Roo, among others.
